Artist profile
I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland in 1951 and migrated to Sydney, Australia in 1976. From the years 1981-2013 I travelled seventeen times to the USA and drove 200,000 miles across the Great Plains with a grand total of three full active years in the field. Under the sole trader banner of non for profit Andrew Hogarth Publishing I wrote and published two booklets and six books dealing with Native American history and culture. I also had twenty-eight photographic exhibitions in Australia and America from 1994-2014. During the period 2000-2018 I wrote and recorded sixteen concept songs with Sydney singer/songwriter Chris Fisher dealing with the Lakota-Sioux, Cheyenne, Comanche and Nez Perce resistance during the Great Plains Indian Wars of 1854-1890.
