Lightwell Grammar
Description
A study of an architectural stairwell transformed into a system of light, shadow and structural signs. Rather than documenting the space, the series isolates its visual syntax: skylights, suspended lamps, railings, beams, cables and dark planes. Repetition and perspective turn functional architecture into a graphic field of tension. The stairwell becomes less a passage than a score of verticals, diagonals and intervals, where light organises space and the building begins to read like notation.
