The great falcon. Zayed National Museum
Description
High ventilation towers signal the new Zayed National Museum, by British studio Foster + Partners on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. It is dedicated to the UAE founder Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and celebrates the history of the Emirates. The Museum is defined by its five steel towers that intend to emulate bird wings, symbolising the local love for falconry. Designed with an eco-friendly approach, the interiors' palette and shapes evoke desert topography and local landscape.
