Accidentally Mastered

Description

It started with a road trip to the New England Garden Festival. I came back with peonies and a ceramic vase and had plans. Then life happened. By the time I got to them, petals had fallen, blooms collapsed. I nearly didn't bother. What ended up in front of my camera was something closer to a 17th century Dutch painting than anything I'd planned. The Dutch Masters spent careers trying to say exactly this. I just forgot to shoot on time.
