This story documents daily life within Sureños 13 gang culture and cartel influence in Tepito, one of Mexico City’s most marginalized neighborhoods. Through immersive photography, the series captures moments of survival, loyalty, faith, and resilience among individuals connected to local criminal networks. Rather than sensationalizing violence, the work humanizes its subjects, revealing the complexity of a community shaped by danger, tradition, identity, and strong social bonds.
