Trembling Belonging

Captured from my hotel room on my first night in Dubai, this photo is a visual diary of displacement. Using long exposure and intentional camera movement, the image transforms the frantic nightscape into abstract geometries. Trembling lights reflect the feeling of being a stranger, lost and overwhelmed by the city's scale. The city is recognizable yet illegible, dissolving into patterns and motion, as the piece explores how belonging can be swallowed by a metropolis.
